Walking and cycling
Our B&B is situated at the cycle junction network (near junction 65). You can map out beautiful routes here. If you go in southern direction, you will soon find yourself in the lightly undulating landscape of the Flemish Ardennes. The famous Flemish hills such as Tiegemberg, Kluisberg, Oude Kwaremont and Koppenberg are waiting for you. If you prefer flat roads, you should head north, where you will soon reach the banks of the river Leie. Through Harelbeke (and the renewed, beautiful sascomplex) you reach the centre of Kortrijk along the Leie.
You can go for a lovely walk on the nearby walking network "Land van Streuvels" and "Land van Mortagne". The surprisingly beautiful region extends as far as Oudenaarde and Zwevegem.
Make use of the new picnic areas that have been set up here and there in the region. You will find them in Avelgem (Bossuit), Spiere-Helkijn (Scheldt), Oostrozebeke (Mandelmeersen), Sint-Martens-Latem, Astene,...
We will be happy to map out a tailor-made cycling or walking route for you. We can take into account the type of cycling, distance, height difference... Or you can find a route on our route finder page, routezoeker. A very large selection of beautiful routes that have already been put together for you via junctions or signposts. You can print out the junction strips or download gpx or pdf.
Renting bicycles
Don't you have your own bikes? Then you can rent them from us for 40 euros per day. You start from the B&B on our brand new Norta electric bicycles, type B-3000. This way the bicycle tour becomes a true touristic and sportive combination.
Swimming
Together with neighbouring Anzegem, the municipality of Deerlijk has built a beautiful new swimming pool. At about 4 km from the B&B you can swim laps in 'Aquandé'. In Waregem (8km), there is a swimming pool called 'de Treffer', with a 25-metre pool, play pool, water slide, children's and toddlers' pool.
You can find even more adventure in swimming pool Lago Kortrijk Weide (10 km), with no less than 5 water slides, a wild water course, wave pool and also a 50-meter pool.
Provincial domain the Gavers
Provincial domain the Gavers in Harelbeke is nearby. Here there are a lot of possibilities for outdoor activities. You can walk around, cycle, but there are also a lot of watersport possibilities. You can swim in a guarded zone, hire a kayak or sup.
